About Me

Hi, I’m Scott Ockerman, and I’m glad you’re here. Helping people feel confident and supported has been at the heart of my agency for a long time, and that’s exactly how I approach Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, and Renters Insurance every day for families and businesses here in Lake Orion, MI. Insurance can feel complicated, especially when life changes. Whether it’s a new driver in the household, a different commute, or simply time for a fresh look, I enjoy walking customers through their options and answering questions so protecting what matters most feels clear and manageable. Making sure your coverage keeps up with your life is an important part of what we do.

My path here started back in 2001. Fresh out of Michigan State (Go Green....wait for it....Go White), I went into the supply chain management world. It was at this time I just couldn't help but notice how lots of people just seemed to lack Joy in their life; I began to do some soul searching on how I could make a difference in people's lives; I wanted to bring Joy back to people or at least create a culture where Joy abounds! With this as my mission my plan was to open up a coffee shop and in walks my own State Farm Agent...He said "Scott, you have to be a State Farm Agent!" In a nutshell, I looked into it and immediately fell in love with the idea of serving people, helping people, spreading joy with people, meeting people, and doing whatever I could to bless my community through service! I jumped in with everything I had and I've loved every minute of it!! Thank you for reading this and now here is just a little bit more of where I've been and what I have been up to besides offering auto insurance, life insurance, home insurance, renters insurance and all financial services to the local community!

I had a 2 year old and a 6 month old when it all started and now I have 3 college grads, 1 just beginning and 2 more still at home! Yep, being a dad is one of the greatest blessings I'll ever be able to experience on this earth! And, of course, my wife of 27 years is also quite special:)
